ROOMS

Welcome to the MHS Library Facilities webpage.

Students and teachers may reserve Trojan Study Rooms 1 and 2 to use for small group meetings, study group meetings, podcast or video recording, working on class projects, and so on.

Each room is equipped with a table surrounded by six chairs, a white board, and a TV screen for projecting. You may check out a tech kit from the library circulation desk containing Expo markers, a remote, keyboard, HDMI cable, dongle for use during your reservation.

Note: You may reserve a room 7 days in advance and must reserve a room at least one hour before the time slot. If scheduling conflicts occur, you may be moved into another library space including the main area of the library (the blue and gold zones).

To reserve the space,

*You may use the study room for the entire duration of the period even though you are signing up for just a 30 minute time slot via Google Calendar.

We are prioritizing the MHS Library Digital Learning Center for student academic use. We will keep the library open for students to check out/in books, to conduct research, to study, and visit the College and Career Resource Center during the school day.

Staff may request use of other parts of the library. Contact Ms. Joyce Pahimulin to reserve the J36 Legion Conference Room and Ms. Mia Gittlen for any of the other spaces (the gold zone (near the projector) and blue zone (near the TV) instructional areas, Jacklin (copier room), Escuela and Arizona offices, and Spirit Row (near the cafeteria and bathrooms). Official facilities request forms are available in the office.

When reserving the library space(s), be sure to communicate:

Please note that the multi-stall bathrooms in the back are now for student and staff use. Food and drink should be consumed outside of the library. Please seek prior approval for exceptions to that rule and clean up after your event (including wiping down tables). Please use blue painter's tape or pushpins for the bulletin boards to put up any flyers or posters for your event in the library.

Everyone is encouraged to help reset the library after use -- including straightening furniture and pushing in chairs.
